Our 6 Ton Horizontal (Single Circuit) Chillers have the same small foot print as our 4&5 Ton Horizontal Chillers, stands just a few inches taller. The most notable difference in the 6 Ton Horizontal unit is the big jump to a 65 Gallon rather than the 50 Gallon built-in reservoir in the 4 & 5 Ton Horizontal units. Not only do you get an extra 1-2 ton of capacity, you also get an extra 15 Gallons! Just as with the 4 & 5 Ton Horizontal units, the 6 Ton can be upgraded with options for Low Temp, Hot Gas Recovery, Expansion Ports, Auto-Fill, and Redundant Pump.
ChillX Chillers: Custom, Horizontal, and Vertical configurations are available from 1/2 to 100 tons. An auto fill mechanism is available on all models with built-in reservoirs. Water distribution manifolds can be constructed to meet your exact needs. Our innovative distribution water manifold drastically reduces the normal manifold footprint. Our innovative manifold designs can fit in a cabinet 30"W X 19"H X 12"D. In most cases up to ten pieces of equipment can be run on this manifold system.
Evaporator In Tank
Units equipped with the stainless steel tank have the evaporator in tank. Our unique to design maximizes the refrigeration circuit and flows the water around the evaporator to attain maximum heat exchange.
Electrical
ChillX uses nothing but UL approved components. These chillers can be built for 208/230V single phase or three phase, or three phase 460/480V or 575V-600V (other uncommon power supply options may also be available upon request). The default thermostatic control is provided by the dependable and versatile PENN 450-series, 2-stage controller.
Refrigeration
ChillX Chillers have the best of components in our refrigeration circuit. Horizontal, Vertical and Remote chillers have Copeland® compressors with a suction filter and liquid dryer ensures many years of dependable service.
Optional Upgrades
- (NEW) Dry-chiller Enhanced Cooling: Cooler climates can take advantage of cold ambient temps to provide heat rejection with a fan and air-to-water heat exchanger. This can reduce power consumption by as much as 85%!
- Low Temp: Allows for 28F LWT
- Hot Gas Recovery: Produces hot water supply with free heat energy from refrigeration cycle.
- Expansion Ports: Additional ports in order to expand chiller capacity at a later time.
- Redundant Pump: Back-up pump for redundancy.
- Auto-fill: Built-in float switch to allow for automatic water refill.
