Our ChillX Single Compressor Vertical Commercial Chillers come in capacities from 2-10 ton and include all of our premium features by default, resulting in the best performance profile in our line. These commercial grade units also offer several optional upgrades, including:
- Expansion Ports: Allows addition of 2-3X original chiller capacity by adding less expensive process chiller expansion module(s) as needed. This is a great feature for businesses in the process of bootstrapping, where scaling production in phases is especially attractive, or where eventual capacity requirements are unclear.
- Redundant Pump: For a small up-charge we can add a second pump to provide redundancy in the unlikely event of a primary pump failure.
- Hot Gas Recovery: An innovative design feature which recovers otherwise wasted heat from the refrigeration cycle which can then be stored in a facility boiler or water heater for use in other processes, or coupled with our dehu enabled air handlers to maximize de-humidification capacity with a neutral temp.
- Low Temp: While all of our units can achieve much lower than 55F, our LT chillers are optimized to achieve Low Temp (25-28F) as efficiently as possible.
ChillX Vertical Chillers are custom designed and manufactured by expert craftsman. These chillers range in capacity from 2 to 10 tons and offer an array of options and essential features, such as: auto fill mechanism on all self-contained-chiller models with built-in reservoirs, custom designed and hand-built evaporator coils and reservoirs, and optional water distribution manifolds constructed to meet your exact needs. These distribution manifolds dramatically reduce the typical manifold footprint, can fit in a cabinet 30"W X 19"H X 12"D, and can be built to serve up to ten pieces of equipment from a single manifold!
Evaporator In Tank
Units equipped with our stainless steel reservoir have our custom evaporator coil assembled right in the tank, with no internal welds offering unparalleled performance, longevity, and serviceability. Many of our coil and reservoir design elements are unique to us, and serve to maximize the refrigeration circuit and drastically improve water flow around the evaporator in order to attain maximum heat exchange.
Electrical
ChillX uses nothing but UL approved components in our systems. These systems can be built to accommodate almost any power supply required: single phase or three phase 208/230V, three phase 460/480V or 575V-600V, and other less common options may be available on request.
Temperature Controller and Circuit
The temperature control circuit is wired using the dependable and versatile RANCO controller. This unit can be wired 24V, 120V, or 240V, with options for single or multi-circuit use as well.
Refrigeration
Our ChillX Chillers use only the best of components in the refrigeration circuit. All of our Horizontal, Vertical, Process, and Remote chillers have Copeland compressors with a suction filter and liquid dryer that ensure many years of efficient, and dependable service.
